Broadcast Video Transport
详情介绍
Native Broadcast Video Transport
Native broadcast video transport is a growing application, capable of delivering the highest video quality at lowest latency and cost. Interconnection sources and consumers of native video transport include studios, stadiums, post-production facilities, national broadcast facilities or stations, cinemas, video head-ends and other facilities receiving digital content for processing. Typical scenarios for video clients include transport over traditional metro networks, such as a stadium transmitting live feed to a TV studio, or within campus/enterprise networks, such as a post-production facility or studio.
Meanwhile, network operators worldwide are transitioning from SONET/SDH to OTN. With SONET/SDH networks slowly being decommissioned, OTN now forms the basis of transport networks globally. OTN adds capacity to 100G+, along with efficient client mapping for video and Ethernet/IP and enhanced OAM. Enabling video transport over SONET/SDH, OTN and Ethernet is a way to future-proof your video transport solution. Microsemi’s industry-leading OTN processors include support for multiple interfaces including SD-SDI, HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, DVB-ASI and DV6000, easily meeting challenging SMPTE video jitter specs and supporting video client switching and unidirectional transport. Microsemi is also a leader in timing and synchronization, with the complete clock management and OTN timing extraction needed for the most demanding video transport applications.
