The echo cancellation hardware platform and firmware pack include and advanced acoustic echo canceller and noise reduction for speakerphones and conference units. The PoD PDs can be used to receive from 3.84W (for class 1 phones) all the way to 95W for fully capable IP phones used to forward power to thin/zero clients. Microsemi's switching regulators with constant frequency hysteretic control lead the industry in space, energy efficiency and transient response.


Enabled HD Voice in IP Phones: High Performance Audio Processor

Designed for IP phones, security system, and many other hands-free applications, Microsemi’s new Timberwolf™ audio processor (ZL38040) features the company’s innovative AcuEdge™ acoustic technology, which is a set of highly-complex and integrated algorithms that allow the user to extract intelligible information from the audio environment from which they are communicating. The license-free, royalty-free audio solutions along with Microsemi’s highly-integrated hardware accelerators enable the development of world-class HD Voice features for IP phone and conference phone applications. The comprehensive Microsemi AcuEdge™ package accelerates customers’ time-to-market via a validated reference design and easy-to-use development tools including the MiTuner™ automated AEC tuning kit. Furthermore Microsemi’s audio processors have been field tested in tier-one OEMs design to meet TIA, ETSI and ITU standards, as well as achieving design-in success in targeted enterprise markets.

Microsemi AcuEdge™ Technology ZL38040 is a hardware platform designed to support advanced acoustic echo canceller and noise reduction with the ZLS38040 firmware pack for speakerphone and conference application.
Digital ECM Microphone pre-Amplifier
The AAP149 offers ultra low noise, ultra low power performance. Built on the base of Microsemi's lead ECM Preamplifiers, the AAP149X extends the market leading performance into the digital domain. Integrated with a 3 mm microphone cartridge, the SNR can be 66 dB or better.
Power Over Ethernet 802.3af/at PD Controller
The PD70101 PoE PD controller is an integrated Powered Device Interface and PWM controllers for a DC-DC converter used in IEEE802.3af applications. The PD70101 can be used for IEEE802.3af or IEEE802.3at Type 1 applications.
Single-port Gigabit PoE Midspan, 802.3af Compliant
The PD-3501G PoE Midspan offers a compact, cost effective and reliable power over standard Ethernet cables, fully IEEE 802.3af compliant solution for IP phones.
