D-Sub Backshells Series | Esterline Control Systems | The D-sub backshells series are lightweight aluminum solutions designed to fit Mil-C-24308 D-sub connectors. The product range offers many styles of EMI adaptors; strain relief options are also available. Different types of entry configuration exist (top, 45° and 90° entry; single or dual) and the EMI/RFI protection is present under different shapes of shield termination platform (oval, round, with tie-wrap arm or slotted). The screw lock option is included in the part number scheme and can be delivered with the backshell. Shorting cans, dustcaps, potting cups, protective covers and termination bands are available in catalog. Screws can be delivered with wire holes and gaskets are also offered. |
ARINC600 Backshell Series | Esterline Control Systems | The ARINC 600 backshells series are customized solutions for your rack and panel connectors. The bodies are specifically designed to fit different connector brands and entries are easy to configure: number, direction, style. ARINC 600 backshells are available with a shell size 2 and 3; the interface is adapted to each connector manufacturer design. Entries are interchangeable and mounted on the rectangular body as a regular circular backshell. Cable clamps, tie-wrap adapters or banding backshells are also available. EMI/RFI protection is ensured with plated body to guarantee conductivity; additional braid adapters are available to allow a full EMI/RFI protection of the system. ARINC 600 backshells are easy to disassemble in order to proceed to any repair; no specific tools or training are required. They can be ordered with various connection interfaces just by selecting the necessary type and number of entry required to assemble your interconnect solution. Composite shells are up to 36% lighter than aluminum shells. The advanced «Nickel over composite» plating process used on microComp® has been qualified on SOURIAU MIL-DTL-38999 product range. This technology selected by Boeing and Airbus, provides optimized shielding and shell-to-shell continuity. microComp® male connectors are tamper proof. 8D ELIO® Series | Esterline Control Systems | 8D ELIO range is 38999 sIII circular type connectors with insert for ELIO optical contact. It is used by Airbus as a standard on aircraft programs like A380, A350, A330 for all the communication using fiber optic. The flight proven ELIO® fiber optics termini are designed around a robust 2.5mm ceramic ferrule. The assembly is as easy an ST connector. The insertion and retention inside the connector is ensured by a bayonet locking mechanism without any special tool. The termini integrates a seal inside the rear boot, thus the connection is sealed from the rear side without a backshell or a grommet. The 8D ELIO® range covers layout from 1 to 24 ways in all type of material shell. Each cavity can be upgraded with the brand-new ELIOBEAM expanded beam ELIO® version. It is ideal for harsh environment as no physical contact is achieved. It fits all standard EN4531 ELIO® physical contact cavities. The ELIOBEAM fiber optics termini are designed around a robust 2.5mm metal ferrule, embedding the lens. It has the same fit&form as the traditional ELIO® physical contact termini and the assembly is also very similar The insertion and retention inside the connector is ensured by a bayonet locking mechanism without any special tool. The termini integrates a seal inside the rear boot, thus the connection is sealed from the rear side without a backshell or a grommet.
