microComp® Series | Esterline Control Systems | The microComp® series is a miniature high density rectangular connector. microComp® shells are available in strengthened fiber glass material for a maximum mechanical resistance. Composite shells are up to 36% lighter than aluminum shells. The advanced «Nickel over composite» plating process used on microComp® has been qualified on SOURIAU MIL-DTL-38999 product range. This technology selected by Boeing and Airbus, provides optimized shielding and shell-to-shell continuity. microComp® male connectors are tamper proof. On HD D-Sub and D-Sub male contacts are the fragile parts of the connector because they can easily be bent. On microComp® male contacts are fully shrouded by the insulator: they are protected and cannot be bent. With its very short contacts, microComp® connectors have high Ethernet performance. micro38999 Series (8DA, 8LTA & 8BA) | Esterline Control Systems | The micro38999 series is a miniature circular connector derived from MIL-DTL-38999 design and available in three coupling systems: threaded, break away and bayonet. 50% shorter length, 33% smaller diameter and 3 times lighter, micro38999® connectors are ideally suited for applications with space and weight constraints such as defense applications (display, UAV, helmet, tactical radio) and industrial applications (remote control, drilling, medical, instrumentation, etc.). The micro38999 series is the first complete platform on the market of integrated backshell products available with a 38999 design and is compliant with the harshest specification (high vibration, operating temperature, durability, corrosion resistance, EMI shielding, etc.) Three coupling systems available to choose the best compromise for your application: Threaded coupling (8DA range): high vibration withstanding and strong signal protection. Break away (8BA range): quickest mating/unmating cycle for applications where reactivity is key. Bayonet (8LTA range): tightest space requirements with reliable mating. The electrical crimp contacts can be removed, enabling users to wire and unwire micro38999 connectors directly on site. D38999 Series III (8D Series | MIL-DTL-38999 Serie III) | Esterline Control Systems | The 8D series is a highly reliable connector compliant to the main standards (MIL-DTL-38999 series III, EN3645, BACC63) and answer the most stringent requirements in harsh environments. Available in 5 high end materials and 5 platings (8D aluminum, 8D composite, 8D titanium, 8D stainless steel and 8D bronze), the 8D series connectors fit all the corrosion, shock, endurance or firewall capability you will encounter. A full range of contacts are also available with 8D connectors such as signal transmission, high speed data transmission (quadrax, twinax, coax, ELIO®). 54 QPL layouts are available in accordance with MIL-STD-1560. 8LT & 8T Series (MIL-DTL-38999 Series I & II) | Esterline Control Systems | 8LT and 8T series are suited to withstand the most severe requirements of aerospace industries and military applications such as civil and military aerospace, communication equipment, ballistic missiles & weapon systems, tanks, test equipment. 8T connectors (MIL-DTL-38999 series II compliant) provide an extreme compact solution which fits all the box architecture and offers a real place optimization. With a large contact layout (from 1 to 28 contacts), 11 different shells available and 43 layouts (from size 8 to 24), 8T connectors address applications requiring high-density connection systems. 8T connectors are available with RoHS plating (black zinc nickel). 8LT connectors (MIL-DTL-38999 series I compliant) offer a large selection of contact arrangements, similar design to 38999 series III, with maximum weight and space savings. 8LT connectors are available with RoHS plating (cadmium free). 8LT and 8T connectors offer concrete RoHS alternative to cadmium. AS85049 Series - MIL-Spec Backshells | Esterline Control Systems | The AS85049 series regroups all our military standard QPL backshells. AS85049 backshells are designed to fit the main circular connectors used in our industry (MIL-DTL-26482 series II, 83723 series 1 & 3, 38999 Series I, II, III & IV); they are qualified for aluminum, stainless steel or composite material (many plating proposed). Two self-locking technologies were developed: a detented system and the SUNBANK Self-seating mechanism that exceeds the vibration requirements. A free rotatable coupling is also available. Qualified for multiple EMI/RFI designs, AS85049 SUNBANK backshells are available in banding and crimping platforms for overall shielding, dual EMI ring for overall and individual shielding. The bodies are specifically designed to optimize weight and robustness. The Self-seating locking option offers lighter weight and lower profile backshell than a detented system. SUNBANK offers AS85049/128 qualified bands as well as AS85049/93 shield support rings. Tools are also available to terminate your wiring assembly. Backshells can be ordered with various interfaces depending on the connector used. Both American and European standards are covered, such as D38999, M26482, EN2997, EN3645, M5015, etc. A wide range of SUNBANK backshells provide waterproofing and environmental sealing withstanding most severe shock, vibration, cable pullout and external bending moment. |
