8NA6G Series | Esterline Control Systems | The 8NA6G is a connector with cable field plug and is the latest addition to the 8NA range. It can easily be implemented for signal connections and can be connected to equipment mounted with 8NA receptacles. The 8NA6G cabled field plug is dedicated connector complying with LOCA safety requirements for the nuclear energy industry. Thanks to robust stainless steel shells and high sealing performances, 8NA6G connectors are designed to operate during normal, accident and post-accident conditions. 8NA Junction Boxes Series | Esterline Control Systems | The 8NA junction boxes are part of the 8NA series, a RCC-E K1 qualified nuclear grade range. Thanks to multiple inputs and outputs on the boxes, they are ideal for cabling many safety related equipment. 8NA junction boxes are supplied by SOURIAU worldwide in nuclear power plants. They provide high shielding performance as the shell-to-shell resistance is reduced (≤ 20 mΩ) and the EMI/RFI protection is achieved over a wide frequency range. With multiple inputs and outputs, up to 14 different combinations, 8NA junction boxes are ideal for cabling optimization. The 8NA series meets the highest radiation levels and harshest nuclear environment, complying with LOCA safety requirements. 8N45S Series | Esterline Control Systems | The 8N45S series is a RCC-E K2 qualified nuclear grade connector range. This series has been designed to answer the EPR requirement and is derived from the 8N45 range. With approved component materials, our connectors meet the highest radiation levels and harshest nuclear environment. Esterline Connection Technologies - SOURIAU range complies with the main nuclear industry standards (RCC-E and IEEE). The integrated cable clamp with shielding continuity, developped for the Generation 3 reactors, allows a good resistance to traction while reducing the shell-to -shell resistance (≤ 20 mΩ) and achieving a EMI/RFI protection over a wide frequency range. As a standard RCC-E K2 Qualified product, quality documentation proving the design and manufacturing process is delivered with every batch of connectors. The quick connection system (bayonet type) allows an easy mating and a quick maintenance. 6 sizes are available, from 3 to 37 contacts, making this series usable with a wide range of application. Qualified since 1992, the 8N35 range has been used since then in nuclear power plants and has been proven even more reliable over time. ULC Series | Esterline Control Systems | ULC connectors provide a push-pull connection which secures against accidental disconnections and minimizes mating force to ensure an ergonomic use of connectors. ULC connectors can be equipped with 8 different keying, that also protects the contacts during the mating process. ULC Series offers a wide connection choices, from glovebox walls feedthrough to equipment connectors through junction boxes and in-line connectors. The ULC junction boxes (IP55) optimize the cabling inside gloveboxes, by grouping up to 8 connections in one main cable and thus reducing the number of feedthroughs needed on the glovebox walls. The ULC feedthrough connectors are hermetic, meeting the requirement of the industry to maintain the containment of gloveboxes. Esterline Connection Technologies - SOURIAU equipped the first reprocessing units with its fast locking connectors (push-pull) for glove boxes, and has unique knowledge in the design and the realization of complex interconnect systems such as the penetrator for containment buildings, with a concept of total safety for the user against gamma radiation, or radiation during maintenance operations. ULC Feedthrough Series With Replaceable Core | Esterline Control Systems | Mateable with the ULC Range, the ULC feedthrough with replaceable core ensures the glovebox remains hermetically sealed whatever its life phase, during normal usage and maintenance. The Replaceable core simplifies the design of complex gloveboxes. ULC feedthrough connectors with replaceable core have a push-pull connection that secures against accidental disconnections and minimizes mating force to ensure an ergonomic use of the connectors. ULC feedthrough connectors are ultra-safe for operators as the hermeticity level is maintained even during the shuttle replacement.Specific tools allow a smooth replacement of the shuttle to change the layouts without breaching containment.The hermeticity leakage rate is ≤10-6 atm.cm-3/s and is 100% controlled before shipment. Equipped with 5 different keying features protecting contacts during the mating process, there is no chance of damage due to cross-mating. ULC Remote Series | Esterline Control Systems | The ULC remote connectors are an improved version of the ULC series; This range, to be connected by remote manipulator arm, has been developed for vitrification lines, overhead cranes and waste storage. With a complete understanding of the requirements together with continuous feedback from the field over the years, Esterline Connection Technologies - SOURIAU connectors have been specially designed for remote-control operations and in highly contaminated areas. Three main reprocessing factories in service in the world (La Hague in France, Sellafield in UK and Rokkashomura in Japan) extensively use the Esterline Connection Technologies - SOURIAU connectors in hot cells. Flat surfaces for robot handling and guiding forks have been added to the ULC remote connectors for an easy manipulation and mating. Part of the ULC range, the remote controled connectors provide a push-pull coupling which secures against accidental disconnections and minimizes mate force to ensure an ergonomic use of connectors. Equipped with 8 different keying, with a visual color code, ULC remote connectors are ensured to be corrected mated, while protecting contacts during the mating process.
