DescriptionSystem Design Embedded Control of CCTV Subsystems |
FeaturesBroad Device Compatibility - Support for many different CCTV interfaces has been implemented in the V5 server. Additional interfaces can be easily added if necessary. Currently supported video devices and manufacturers include: Honeywell, American Dynamics, Bosch, Cohu, Javelin, Kylmar, Vicon, Pelco, Broadware, Vistascape and Flir Systems. Advanced Control Capability - Managing a CCTV subsystem via the V5 server allows console monitors to be grouped into “banks” on which a customer can establish and enforce assessment policies. A user can reserve some monitors for high priority alarms and set aside others for manual operations. The V5 server allows a user to assign cameras to specific alarm points so that an operator need not worry about which cameras cover which alarm zones. Dynamic Prioritization - Each application is unique as it pertains to what assessment views are seen by operators under varying conditions. The V5 server implements specific assessment policies based on how the system should react under manual control (e.g., operator dictates proactive view) or automatic control (e.g., alarm point conditions prioritize assessment views). This configuration can be set for each bank of monitors and determines whether views can be manually replaced by the operator. It also controls whether views are replaced automatically and under what conditions. A unique feature of Vindicator-integrated CCTV solutions is using a condition’s priority to determine whether a view is displayed; i.e., the V5 server may be configured to send a camera preset only when the alarm priority is greater than five, or only when the live view of that camera has already been sent to a monitor. |
