Telematics Control Unit (TCU) is an embedded onboard system that controls wireless tracking of and communication to/from the vehicle. TCUs are used in electronic tolling, eCall crash notification and roadside assistance, vehicle tracking, remote door services, navigation, traffic assistance, concierge services, video and audio entertainment, fleet management as well as diagnostics. TI supports many components of a system including audio, LIN, CAN, back-up battery charging and monitoring.
