Overview

Blenders are relatively-inexpensive cooking appliances with useful functions to mince, chop, and grate vegetables, or to make juice and so on. Food processors are cooking devices for cutting or grating ingredients such as vegetables, fish, and meats. While these tools are distinguished by the type of cutters they use, the fundamental structure is almost the same, and they are used widely in many different countries.

Renesas offers various microcontrollers suitable for blenders and food processors. The RL78 Family, one of the microcontrollers, has an A/D converter for dial key and sensor input, and timers for PWM output to control interrupt input and motors.
