Overview
Electric toothbrushes use a motor to vibrate and rotate the brush, and have the advantage of allowing you to brush your teeth thoroughly in a short amount of time. In addition, a variety of products have also appeared in response to increased interest in oral care and health.
Recently, electric toothbrushes with advanced dental plaque removing capability utilizing ions, or functions such as monitoring by wireless communication and guiding to places to brush, or detecting the load on the motor and automatically adjusting the rate of the brush, are attracting attention.
Renesas offers the RL78 Families and R8C Families and others as system control microcontrollers and LCD display microcontrollers for satisfying the needs of complex systems such as fine motor control, battery control, LCD display, and RF communication. Single-chip battery control ICs, MOSFETs, power control ICs, and so on are also available for meeting the demands for high functionality, high performance, low power consumption, and reduced costs.
