Different variants of logistics robots require a human machine interface (HMI) to provide an additional visual interface to an operator instead of being controlled from external controllers only, in example via a wireless connection. Robotics HMI TI Designs from Texas Instruments show possible ways of implementing the different subsystems of such a HMI. For the embedded part designs based on SitaraTM processors with superior processing performance and the abilitiy to control a touch screen panel are available. Moreover, solutions for different interfaces like USB or SD cards are shown. If wireless connectivity is needed designs using TI’s wireless products portolio are shown.
